Mary Ann (Labowicz) King, of Maynard, MA, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2020 at the age of 87. Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Richard F. King, and children; Cheryl R. King of Quincy, Richard F. King Jr. and wife Terry of Maynard, Robert V. King of Natick, and grandsons; Adam King and wife Brandi of Norwood, New York and Brian King and partner Amanda Fairweather of Peabody. She was predeceased by her parents William and Rose Labowicz, and siblings Vincent P. Labowicz, Helen L. Delaney and John S. Labowicz. She is also survived by her beloved nieces Carol Ann, Diane, MaryJane and Jonna.

Mary was a lifelong resident of Maynard and member of St Bridget’s Parish, and a proud graduate of Maynard High School and Bay Path Junior College. Mary worked her entire career as an administrative assistant, first at Lincoln Laboratories then in the Maynard High School Guidance Office. She spent many happy years at Digital Equipment Corporation.

Mary loved all flowers, cooking, music, dancing, anything that sparkled, football and Tom Brady, and a good Western. She spent many happy afternoons with her Maynard book club friends and enjoyed her outings with the “Digital Ladies." Mary was part of the St. Vincent De Paul Society at Saint Bridget’s for many years.

She had so many wonderful years of travels with her husband, children and friends locally and internationally and particularly looked forward to a yearly trip to Aruba. But Mary especially loved just being at home in Maynard with her family.

The family would like to thank the nurses and home health aid from Nashoba Nursing Service & Hospice and the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center at Emerson Hospital for all their compassionate care.

A private funeral will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at St. Bridget’s Church with burial in Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society, c/o St. Bridget’s Church, 1 Percival Street, Maynard, MA 01754.

I so loved my Auntie Mary. She was like another sister to me.
I can remember when young Auntie Mary came summers to live with my parents and Dee-Dee and I. On summer she worked as a waitress in Meredith, N.H.
Time went on---
Bob and I saw a lot of Auntie Mary (sometimes Dick, too) when we lived in Norfolk. There was always lunch and shopping with Auntie, Dee-Dee and I. When we moved to Fl. Auntie and Cheryl would visit.
I have so many wonderful memories. We will all miss her! Love, Carol

To Dick, Richie, Cheryl, Bobby and Family,
I'm very sorry and sad to hear about Mary's passing. She was always so vibrant and such a dear lifelong friend for Ed and me. I am lucky to have so many wonderful memories with the four of us, especially during our cross country drive to CA. I hope your memories of her bring you comfort at this time. I'm sharing a few photos of our 2006 trip to CA.
