Obituary

Katherine A. (Reardon) McNulty, a long-time resident of Maynard, passed away peacefully April 16, 2021 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late James H. McNulty, to whom she was married 37 years at the time of his passing in 1996.

Mrs. McNulty was born in New York, daughter of the late John and Agnes (Fox) Reardon. She was raised in Ansonia, CT and attended the local schools. She was a graduate of the nursing school at St. Raphael’s Hospital in New Haven. Mrs. McNulty had a long career as a nurse working for a time at St. Elizabeth’s in Brighton, the town of Maynard School Department, and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Her favorite role was in Health Services at Harvard University where she greatly enjoyed her time with the students.

Mrs. McNulty and her beloved Jim were married in Connecticut in 1959 and settled in Maynard in 1961. Mrs. McNulty was a long-time member of St. Bridget Church and a member of the Ladies’ Sodality and Parish Council. She was also an avid reader and a member of a local book club. However, family was most important to Mrs. McNulty. She particularly enjoyed family vacations and outings to Fenway Park for a Red Sox game. In her retirement she would pursue her greatest pastime of all – spending time with her grandson, John.

Katherine is survived by her son, James H. McNulty, Jr., his wife, Christine, as well as her grandson, John, all of Maynard. She also leaves numerous cousins and extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral Mass on Saturday April 24 at 10:00am in St. Bridget Church, 1 Percival Street, Maynard. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to The Catholic TV Network at P. O. Box 9196, Watertown, MA 02471 or at https://catholictv.org/donate.html.
