Charles J. Landry Jr., 52, of Ayer Massachusetts passed away peacefully in his home on February 3, 2021.

Born in Malden MA, he was the son of Charles J. Landry Sr. and Dorothy (Donovan) Landry. Known as Chuck to many, he grew up in Westford Massachusetts where he attended Westford Academy, graduating in 1987. Charles then went on to attend Middlesex Community College where he earned an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice.

Charles joined the United States Merchant Marine and served aboard vessels during Operation Earnest Will and Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, for which he was awarded the United States Merchant Marine Expeditionary Award for service during the time of conflict. After returning home from sea, he attended Massachusetts Maritime Academy as a member of the Class of 1995. While attending the Academy he also served as a Special Police Officer for the City of Boston.

After the Academy he was employed by the Westford Police Department as a Patrolman in the early to mid 1990’s. It was during this time that he met the love of his life Maureen, marrying her in 1997 and starting a family.

After the Westford Police Department Chuck moved into Security Management, supervising security for properties and facilities all over the state of Massachusetts. Chuck finally settled in as a Private Investigator in his later years, becoming a Senior Investigator.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Maureen A. (Jones) Landry and sons, Tyler J. Landry and Ryan W. Landry of Ayer MA.

Chuck is also survived by his siblings Christine (Landry) Terrasi and her husband Martin of Inverness FL; Karen Landry of Bedford MA; and Peter Landry and his wife Jennifer (Zdon) Landry of Morrisville NC; nieces Autumn Landry, Faithann Savage, Genevieve Savage, and Amanda McCauley, and nephews Martin Terrasi Jr, Patrick Terrasi, and James Mills.

He was predeceased by his parents and infant sister Meaghan Landry.

He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Chuck took great pride and joy in watching his sons grow up to be fine upstanding men. He enjoyed drives up to Maine and to the beach with his wife to watch the sun rise, spending time with his wife and sons, and lively debates with family and friends. Chuck was dedicated to serving others, particularly his family.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Childrens Miracle Network in memory of Meaghan Leigh and Chuck, or to any organization that preserves the rights of Americans.

Services will be private. Information regarding interment will follow.
