Obituary for Xihong Cui
Xihong Cui, 83 years old of Acton, MA passed away at Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham on May 14, 2020. He was the beloved husband of 58 years to Xiumin Xu of Acton, MA.
He is also survived by his two daughters: Ping Cui and her husband Shiping Geng of Acton, MA; Jun Cui and her husband Xuezhong Xu of Tianjin, China. He also leaves two beloved grandchildren: Eric Geng of Acton, MA; Shuxin Xu of Tianjin, China.
Xihong Cui was born and raised in Tianjin. He was a Christian and a retired teacher. He and his wife moved to the United States to join his daughter’s (Ping Cui) family 24 years ago. They have both lived in Acton, MA for more than 20 years. He had enjoyed a peaceful life with his family until he passed away.
He was a gentle, kind and sociable person. He was an amazing historian and was always eager to give a lecture about Chinese culture and history. He loved Chinese opera and had many hobbies, including Chinese chess, table tennis and soccer. He was a big fan of the NBA and always enjoyed talking about it with his son-in -law.
Due to the current COVID situation, a private graveside funeral service will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford, MA on May 21,2020. Funeral arrangement is under the thoughtful guidance of the Acton funeral home and Chinese Bible Church of Greater Lowell (CBCGL), Chelmsford, MA.
In lieu of gifts, donations in Xihong’s memory may be made to the Senior Christian fellowship of CBCGL, 197 Littleton Rd, Chelmsford, MA 01824.
