Obituary for W. David Hicks
Walter David Hicks of Stamford, CT, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on February 4, 2022.
David was the beloved son of Faith Hicks of North Chelmsford, MA and her late husband Dr. Walter Hicks. David is also survived by his son, Joseph Hicks of Odessa, FL, and his mother Vickie Dobson Hicks. He also leaves his sister, Janet Hicks Smith and her husband Mark of Wallingford, CT, his sister Pamela Hicks Dole and her partner, Mark Christ, of MA; his three nephews Jason Palazini and wife Addie of NYC, Evan Palazini of PA, Ryan Palazini and wife Natalie of NC; and their father Christopher Palazini, and his niece Jacqueline Dole Gravito and her husband Kevin of ME. David leaves his aunt, Carol DeMatos of Methuen, MA, and his cousins, Joseph DeMatos of VT, John DeMatos and wife Denise of Methuen, MA, and Jennifer Simard and her husband Michael of Methuen, MA.
David was a graduate of the ITT Technical Institute. He loved his family and friends and making people laugh. David was a talented photographer, he enjoyed technology, sports, fishing and hiking. He was an animal lover, and leaves behind his cherished cat, Zeke. He enjoyed long walks and chess games with his friends and will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 12th at 11:00 am at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Avenue (Rte. 111), Acton, MA, interment following at Woodlawn Cemetery, 104 Concord Rd., Acton, MA.
