Obituary for Sue H. Poulton

Sue H. Poulton of Acton, MA died October 27, 2021. She was born in Washington DC on November 13, 1937 to the late William and Helen Poulton. Sue was a twin and loved her brother (Bill) dearly who passed previously.

Survivors include sister-in-law, Ginny Poulton; niece Bryn Poulton and husband Ryan and their 3 children; nephew Jeff Poulton and wife Beth and their 3 children; nephew Bill Poulton and wife Tara and their 4 children.

Sue graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington DC and attended Ohio Wesleyan and graduated from American University in Washington DC. Sue worked for many years in computer application development including the last 24 years of her career at the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston.

Sue lived the last 50 years of her life in Massachusetts with the majority of her time living in Wellesley Hills where she was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Wellesley. Sue played golf at Nehoiden Golf Course where she was active in the women’s group at the course and was proud to have recorded a hole-in-one late in her golf career. She loved her dogs, 3 bichons (Daisy, Holly, and Toby). She also enjoyed gardening and was an avid local sports fan of the Patriots and Red Sox as well as a life-long loyal fan of the Washington Football Team from her childhood in DC.
