Stanley C. Pleskowicz Sr., 99, a life long resident of Maynard, MA died on Monday, January 18, 2020. He was the beloved husband of 39 years to Assunta Mary (Lalli) Pleskowicz who died in 1989.
Stanley was born in Maynard, son of the late Charles and Antonia Pleskowicz. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Maynard H.S. He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army until being honorably discharged in 1946. He worked as a machinist for many years with several local companies until his retirement.
He is survived by his two sons, Stanley C. Pleskowicz of Maynard and Michael A. Pleskowicz and his wife Phyllis of Gardner. He is also survived by his two granddaughters, Jessica Danielle Pleskowicz, Hannah Lynne Pleskowicz along with his nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was the brother of the late Charles Pleskowicz and lost an infant sister.
Stanley had several hobbies he enjoyed in his spare time which included fishing and tinkering around the house as an accomplished handy man. He was most happy spending time with his family, especially later with his two cherished granddaughters. His strong and loving personality will be remembered by all who loved and knew him.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, services and burial are private. Visiting hours for the public will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, Jan. 22nd (Masks are required and social distancing is observed) at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Avenue, Acton, MA 01720.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
