Obituary for Paul W. Harrold Jr.
Paul W. Harrold Jr., a long-time resident of Maynard, passed away Wednesday, November 2nd at his home. He was 78 years old.
For many years Paul, known by so many as “Lefty” was the service manager of Mid State International Trucks of Worcester.
He loved classic cars and riding his motorcycles. He was a member of the Maynard Area Auto Club. You may not have known him, but you knew where the pink ’57 Mercury lived! Every Saturday for decades was spent with his best friend Dale rebuilding many classics that could be found at local “cruise nights”.
He loved sitting in the background while all the kids buzzed around. Just watching all of them made him happy.
Paul was predeceased by his wife Catherine in 2015.
He is survived by his sister Jeanne Casey of Virginia.
His children Catherine Dudley and her husband Paul, Paul Harrold III, William Harrold and his wife Marianne, Rosemary Parks, Luanne Green and Timothy Harrold
Also survived by his grandchildren: Cassandra and Tristeena Harrold, Paul and David Dudley, Kyle and Laney Harrold and Great-grandchildren: Knoa, Alexandria, Zoey, Logan, Skylar, Charlie, Keegan, Hunter and Levi.
All are invited to visiting hours on Monday, November 6th from 4:00-7:00PM in the Acton Funeral Home 470 Massachusetts Avenue (Rte. 111) Acton. Burial in St. Bridget’s Cemetery will be private.
