Obituary for Natalie Forte Cavanagh

Natalie Forte Cavanagh passed away peacefully on September 13, 2022 at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA. She was 87 years old.

Natalie was the beloved wife of the late Paul Cavanagh and leaves behind her beloved sons, Stephen Fales of Maynard MA, and Michael Fales and his wife Lynnmarie May of Westfield MA. Natalie was born November 4, 1934 in Needham MA to the late V. James Forte and Natalie (Carboni) Forte. She was sister to the late Judith Forte Boyle of Dennis MA and leaves behind her dear sister Marie Forte Bishop and her husband Gordon Bishop of Simsbury CT, as well as many cherished nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Natalie was a graduate of Cape Cod Community College and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston. She was a gifted artist of contemporary impressionism, an avid reader, and enjoyed teaching CCD for many years at St. Bridget’s Church in Maynard. Natalie had a deep faith and trust in her religion and was such a wonderful cook. Her homemade apple pies with the crust made with just a touch of brandy were a special treat. She had such a gentle, sweet nature and a great love for all of her family. She bore her final years with grace and love, and was an inspiration to those around her. She was a caring friend and a very giving person; she will be sorely missed by so many.

Visitation hours will be held at the Acton Funeral Home at 470 Mass Ave (Rt 111), Acton MA on Tuesday, September 27, from 9:00-10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Bridget’s Church of Ascension Parish, 1 Percival Street in Maynard MA. Burial will be at St. Bridget’s Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association can be made in her honor.
