Nadine Zobel Kush, 68, of Acton, passed away peacefully at home with her daughter by her side on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. Nadine will be greatly missed and remembered by her daughter and closest friends.

Nadine was born on June 13, 1952 in Middletown, NY and was the daughter of late Charles W. Zobel, Jr. (Bill) and late Grace V. (Kunath) Zobel and sister of late Anita E. Zobel. She is survived by her loving daughter, Liane E. Kush, of Waltham, MA. Nadine’s greatest passion and accomplishment was raising her only child as a single mother.

Nadine grew up in Pine Bush, NY. She was a graduate of Brockport State University of NY with a degree in Psychology. She then found fulfillment in teaching troubled teenagers at a runaway shelter. Later in life she earned her Paralegal Certificate from Bentley University, which she utilized as a Paralegal in Patent Law for many years of her career until her retirement.

Nadine loved animals, especially her dogs throughout her life. She enjoyed watching the birds, turkeys, and squirrels at her bird feeder. She cherished her garden and being able to use her homegrown herbs in her cooking. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her loved ones. She had a talent for home design and remodeled her bathrooms and kitchen with her inspiration and ideas.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 1st from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Acton Funeral Home at 470 Massachusetts Avenue Acton, MA 01720. All are welcome. Due to the pandemic regulations, masks are required and social distancing will be observed.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the MSPCA, www.mspca.org.

I am so saddened to have learned of Nadine’s death. I met Nadine many years ago when we both lived at the same Great Road apartment complex. I would see her at the pool with her tiny young daughter-
Many years later and after we both moved to different places - Nadine became a very dear friend of mine. We would talk about our lives - our ups and downs - home projects, work woes , and her illness , but she was always the happiest talking about her beloved daughter and her many accomplishments and successes.
Not long ago, even while Nadine was dealing with her own illness - she was a tremendous source of strength and wisdom to me as I went through one of the worst times of my life. She offered up the best advise , strength and support.
I will miss talking with my friend.
Rest In Peace dear Nadine

She was there for me- talking me through very dark days .

Liane... So sorry to hear that your mom passed; recently received word from one of our neighbors, Charlie. We are in FL so were unable to attend the service. Always stopped to chat w/Nadine (in past years) when I was walking our dog, Darla who was always running after the chipmunks who your mom fed! Also admired her ‘green thumb’ as her garden was always lovely... especially the sunflowers🌻! Just a few months ago, as I was walking by her condo, noted how big that tree has grown in the front yard; I remember how she had Angelo plant a sapling hoping it would grow to,give her some shade! She was a lovely lady and personable neighbor as well! The memories and 💓 remain forever; her legacy lives on in you. Know that our
thoughts & prayers are with you during these days of loss🙏. Hugs, Mary & Moe (DF Neighbors)
