Matina (Tina) Phillips Desimone died peacefully on January 3, 2023 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford, MA. The staff at Sunny Acres took good care of her over the last several years.

Tina was born to Diana & William Fidanis, in Washington, DC, on February 6, 1933. She is survived by her loving sister Ann Eithier, her five children: Daughter Diana Heath & Son in Law Bradley Heath, Son Samuel Phillips, Daughter Candice Phillips, Daughter Tracy Melason & Son in Law Ronnie Melanson, and Son Daniel Phillips. As well as 11 Grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Tina completed High School at age 16, and went to University of Maryland.  She graduated top in her class, and then met and married Samuel Phillips. Samuel predeceased Tina in 1985. Together they raised their five children. She eventually obtained her masters of social work, and worked in the field until she worked in the family business. Tina raised her children with a kind heart, and protective instincts.

All are invited to visiting hours on Tuesday, January 10th from 9:00-11:00AM in the Acton Funeral Home 470 Massachusetts Avenue (Rte. 111) Acton. A service will follow at 11:00AM in the funeral home. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Concord Road, Acton.
