Obituary for Martin L. Houck

Martin L. Houck, "Marty" to friends and family, died peacefully at his home in Littleton, Massachusetts on his 63rd birthday, August 7, 2022, with his beloved dog "Bella" at his side. Marty's wife, Jean (Cousins) preceded him in passing in March of 2016.

Marty is survived by his brother, Malcolm H. Houck of Maynard, Mass., sister, Laura L. Houck of Moab, Utah, sister, Charlotte H. Pitman of West Newbury, Mass, and sister, Elaine E. Houck of West Yarmouth, Mass.

A graduate of Concord-Carlisle Regional High School, Marty was a proud U. S Navy veteran, and an early retiree from a career in production machine operations with Millipore Corporation. He was an avid big-league baseball historian, spending many hours with his brother; -- each trying to stump the other with some obscure statistic.

He had lived with sister, Charlotte for several years after retirement helping her with the endless chores keeping her acres of gardens and grounds in best condition.

Marty was also close to his late wife's children and her brother Ashley Cousins, with all and each of whom he celebrated many holidays and family events.

Funeral arrangements are handled by Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Avenue, Acton, Mass. 01720.

All arrangements are private. A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be announced in the future. Those wishing to make donations in remembrance of Marty may do so in his name to the Navy League of the United States, online at www.navyleague.org
