Obituary for Margaret Fitzgerald
Margaret (Crowley) Fitzgerald, 87, of Orleans, MA, formerly of Acton, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 30, 2022.
Margaret was born in West Roxbury to the late Marion and John Crowley and was the sister of the late John Crowley Jr., and Patricia Crowley. She was a graduate of Boston College and Catherine Laboure School of Nursing.
Margaret was the loving wife for 62 years of William Fitzgerald Jr, who passed away last year. A devoted mother, she will be grieved by her son, William Fitzgerald III and daughters, Mary Heth, Patricia Murray and Meg Fitzgerald. She was predeceased by her son Timothy Fitzgerald. She will be greatly missed by her 7 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren.
Visiting Hours Thursday, June 2 from 4-6pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave. (Rte.111), ACTON. A Mass to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, June 3 at 10:00am in St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 107 North Main St., Westford. Burial will immediately follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Acton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret’s name to the Pine Street Inn, 444 Harrison Ave., Boston, MA 02118.
