Obituary for Lanis L. (Kendall) Harris

Lanis L. (Kendall) Harris, a longtime resident of Maynard, passed away peacefully at Emerson Hospital July 4, 2022. She was 77 years old. She was the beloved wife of Robert Harris of Maynard.

Lanis was born on January 18, 1945 in Newton, daughter of the late Elmer H. and Anita (DeDoming) Kendall. She grew up in Sudbury and was a graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury High School. Lanis worked for many years as an electronics assembler. She lived for a time with her husband Bob in Millis and Franklin before ultimately settling back in Maynard.

Lanis enjoyed traveling with Bob and her family, especially going to their trailer at Bear’s Den in Wells, ME with her sister and brother-in-law. She loved the White Mountains and weekly trips to play Bingo at St. Bridget’s. More than anything, Lanis adored her family, especially time spent together at the holidays. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her husband Bob, Lanis is lovingly survived by her children: Bill Bouffard, Terri Dushanek and her husband Guy, Debbie Bouffard, Tracey Dallaire and her husband Mark and Steve Bouffard. Lanis also leaves 17 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren as well as her sister Bernice Iannarelli. Sadly, she was predeceased by her oldest daughter, Jean Peterson, step-daughter Kelli Luttazi and her sisters Sharon Clark and Anita Kendall.

All are invited to visiting hours on Friday, July 15th from 10:00AM – 11:30AM in the Acton Funeral Home 470 Massachusetts Avenue (Rte. 111) Acton. A graveside service will follow at New Town Cemetery, Concord Road, Sudbury. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in Lanis’ name to the American Cancer Society.
