Obituary

Sandwich, MA

Judith Carol (Johnson) Grasso, 83, of Sandwich, MA, and former longtime resident of Marlborough, MA, died on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was raised in Marlborough where she attended local schools and was a 1954 graduate of Marlborough High School. She later received her Associate’s Degree from Fisher College in Boston. She spent several years at home raising her family and eventually went to work as an executive secretary for a local company. She went to work as a computer programmer for Digital Equipment Corp. in the 70’s until retiring in 1984 to take up permanent residence along with her husband Bill in Sandwich, MA. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish in Sandwich.

She was also predeceased by her longtime step-mother Norma (Conway) Wells-Johnson.

Judy enjoyed cooking, classical music and playing her piano in her spare time. She never missed any of her children’s sporting events and truly enjoyed retirement with her husband Bill and later Joe. She was able to travel to many places with Bill and Joe including trips to Europe and many cruises abroad. She cherished spending the winter months In Panama City, Florida, and the wonderful summers on Cape Cod entertaining her family and friends for many years. Judy was my second mom. I am so very grateful for her and Bill’s love and the home they allowed me to call home as well. May you rest in heaven eternally with God our Father. Much love, Martha.
