Jeffrey A. Bockweg, age 61, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023 at the Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in Holden, Massachusetts after a year-long battle to recover from a severe traumatic brain injury sustained in a tragic pedestrian accident that occurred in Falmouth, Massachusetts on April 2, 2022. Born in Hartford, Connecticut on October 3, 1961, Jeff was the beloved son of the late Robert Bockweg and Mary Jane Lannigan Bockweg. He was also a devoted brother to the late David Bockweg of Las Vegas, Nevada. Growing up in Massachusetts, Jeff was a graduate of Weston High School, and attended Bentley University. He was a resident of Stow, MA and most recently, a resident of Mashpee, MA. Prior to living on the Cape, Jeff spent years working in the computer trade show and sales industry. While living on the Cape, Jeff enjoyed working for a landscaping company and for a popular restaurant. He filled his leisure time with reading, cooking, bicycling, and relaxing on the beach with the daily newspaper. Jeff was also an avid fan of all the Boston sports teams. Additionally, he played the guitar, loved all genres of music and enjoyed spending time with friends on the Cape and in Canaan Valley, where he attended many Music Festivals and other events.
Jeff, with his heart of gold, is survived by his beloved sister and two brothers and their spouses, Lori and Rick Marzullo of Acton, MA, Greg and Cindi Bockweg of Hudson, MA, Gary and Robyn Bockweg of Alexandria, VA. Jeff is also survived by his aunts, uncles, a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, and devoted friends including Naomi Singer of Watertown, MA, Marybeth Figgie of Mashpee, MA, and Susan Garofalo of Weston, MA.
Visiting hours will be on Monday, May 22nd from 4-7pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave. (Route 111) Acton. The funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 23rd at 10am, at Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 89 Arlington St., Acton with graveside service immediately following, at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Central St., W.
