Howard Walter Kuenzler, age 81, September 18, 2022, a long-time resident of Acton, MA. Beloved husband of Carole Kuenzler for 57 years. Loving father to sons and daughters-in-law Glenn and Rebecca Kuenzler of Beachwood, OH and Richard and Ana Espila of Framingham, MA. Also survived by beloved grandsons Maxwell, Leo, and Sam of Beachwood and Luis and Daniel of Framingham, his older sister, Shirley, of Parkville, MD, sister-in-law Jutta Kuenzler of Chapel Hill, NC, and brother-in-law Richard Miller and his wife Georgia of Falmouth, MA.

Born in West Palm Beach, graduated from the Univ of FL in EE (1964)followed by a Masters in Oceanography at MIT (1968). Served his country for 4 years at the AF Cambridge Research Lab in Lincoln, then went on to design equipment for seismic studies at Weston Observatory and Weston Geophysical. In 1987 he returned to Hanscom as a civil servant to design equipment to study the Ionosphere and its effect on communications. After retiring in 2004 he enjoyed time with his family, his passion for tennis and travel to the Caribbean Islands.

Visiting Hours will be held at The Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave, Acton on September 30 4-7pm. A memorial service will be held at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 164 Newtown Rd, Acton October 1st 9am. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Alzheimer’s Disease or Foundation, MSPCA or animal shelter of your choice, or the Church of the Good Shepherd where he worshiped for 54 years.
