Obituary for Elizabeth "Betty" French
Elizabeth (Betty) French, 80, of Hudson, MA, passed away August 7, 2022.
She is survived by her husband Jon C. French of Hudson, MA (formerly of Stow, MA) and two children Jon E. French (and wife Mary French) of Plymouth and Ann Kinslow (and husband Tim) of Marlborough. Grandchildren are Adam and Ryan French, Alex, Nick, Julianna and Genevieve Kinslow.
Betty was born and raised in Winthrop, MA where she lived until she married. She then spent most of her early years working and raising a family in Stow, MA. Over the years Betty worked as an administrative assistant at various locations. However, of all of the commitments she undertook, being a grandmother (Nanna) was the one she loved most. She knitted many sweaters, babysat whenever asked, attended concerts and sporting matches and supported the grandchildren in all their endeavors. Most recently she was an active member of the Stow and Hudson communities working seasonally at Shelbourne Farms, volunteering with the food pantry, participating in activities offered by the Council on Aging (crafts were her favorite).
She was an active congregant at St Isidore’s in Stow and enjoyed her book club. Betty will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 27th at 10:00AM in St Isidore's Church 429 Great Road Stow. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Stow.
