Obituary for Douglas W. Whitcomb
Douglas W. Whitcomb, 81, a longtime resident of Acton, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021 at the Emerson Hospital in Concord. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Goldthwaite) Whitcomb to whom he was married since 1976.
Mr. Whitcomb was born in Concord and made his home in Acton where he built his home on his family's dairy farm. Mr. Whitcomb worked for many years for the MIT Lincoln Labs as an engineering assistant. In his later years, he worked as a carpenter and a handyman. A true nature lover, Douglas and his wife enjoyed traveling cross country and camping.
