Obituary for David W. Lewis
David W. Lewis, 70, of Hudson, MA passed away suddenly on Friday, May 6th 2022.
David was born in Brighton, MA on January 30th, 1952 where he grew up in Maynard, MA and graduated from Maynard High School.
He started working as a bagger for Roche Brothers Supermarkets, where he eventually was promoted to the meat department. David stayed with Roche Brothers for over 45 years until his retirement in 2021.
He was a wine enthusiast, enjoyed classic cars and loved working in his garden. He also loved music from artists such as Gordon Lightfoot, The Bee-Gees and The Guess Who.
David was the son of Ralph M. and Rosa M. (Lombardini) Lewis. He is survived by his long-time partner Darlene Clark; his son Jonathan Lewis and his wife Nicole; his partner's sons Shawn Clark and Anthony Sorrentino; his sisters Regina Algeri and her husband Robert, and Denise Zancewicz and her husband Gary. David is also survived by his grandchildren Ryan and Kylee Lewis; Destiny and Owen Clark, his nephew Shawn Algeri and a grand niece and nephew. He was predeceased by a son, Christopher Lewis.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday, May 16th from 4:00-7:00pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Avenue, (Rte 111) Acton, MA. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard, is private.
