Obituary for David A. Blanchette, Sr.
David A. Blanchette, Sr., a lifelong Maynard, MA resident, died Friday January 24, 2020 in Concord, MA after a period of declining health. He was 65.
Born in Bourne, MA and raised in Maynard, he was the son of the late Arthur D. and Ruth E. (Beach) Blanchette. A graduate of Maynard High School, David worked in the electronics industry at D.T.S., Sylvania-GTE, Northstar Technologies, Inc. and L-tronics before retiring. A fan of the New England Patriots, his favorite pastime was his family. He especially loved attending all his grandchildren’s activities and going out to dinner with loved ones. He will be deeply missed.
Predeceased by his parents, a brother William Blanchette and a sister Michelle “Shelly” Christian, David is survived by his three children: a son David Blanchette Jr., his companion Kelly Schindler and their children Molly Schindler, Addison and Emilia Blanchette; a daughter Lisa Blanchette, her companion Rick Carlson and their children Natalie and Landen Carlson; and son Scott Blanchette, his wife Amanda, and their children Ava and Emily Blanchette. He is also survived by a sister Julie Walcott, brother-in-law Jerry Christian, aunt Audrey Price, cousins and extended family members.
Visiting hours are Wednesday January 29th from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00P.M. at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton. The funeral service will follow at Noon at the funeral home with burial following in Glenwood Cemetery, Great Road (Rte 117) Maynard.
