Obituary for Claire Dosh

Claire G. (Lapre) Dosh, 81, a longtime resident of Acton, MA and recently of Leominster, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. She was the beloved wife of 47 years to the late Robert D. Dosh. Born in New Bedford, MA on November 4, 1941, Claire was the daughter of the late Joseph Leo and Noella C. (Cormier) Lapre of East Freetown, MA. Claire and Bob were residents of East Hartford, CT for 33 years before moving to Acton, MA in 1997 to live near their grandchildren.

Over the course of her life, Claire worked as a seamstress, a manager for a screen-printing company and in food services for the Acton School System. She enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting with friends and shopping. Most of all, Claire was a proud and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Claire is survived by her daughter, Deborah-Ann Morelli and her husband Aldo of Granby, CT and her daughter, Sharen Crooks and her husband Michael of Acton, MA. She also leaves her two cherished grandchildren, Declan Crooks of Arlington, MA and Emma Crooks of Somerville, MA; her sister Jeanette Angelo and her husband Robert of North Dartmouth, MA and several nieces and nephews. Claire was pre-deceased by her devoted husband, Bob, in 2006 and three siblings: brother Joseph Leo Lapre of East Freetown, MA; Yvette Collins of Lakeville, MA and Robert J. Lapre of New York, NY.

Visiting hours will be Friday, March 10th from 4-6 pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Mass Ave., (Rte 111) Acton, MA. A Funeral mass will be held at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, 89 Arlington Street, Acton, MA on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10 am. Kindly meet at church. Private burial to follow.
