Christopher Robert Trumbour, 58, Maynard, Massachusetts (June 28 1962 – February 7, 2021).

Chris Trumbour passed away on January 7, 2021 in Concord, Massachusetts. The only son of Margaret and Joseph Trumbour, Chris was born in Massachusetts and raised in Granby, Connecticut, graduating from Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford.

Returning to the Boston area in 1984, he received a bachelor of arts degree from St. John’s Seminary College in Brighton and worked for Arkwright Insurance, Borders Bookstores, and ultimately Trader Joe’s where he enjoyed the friendship of a true work family.

Chris was well-loved and known for his keen sense of humor, taking joy in making people laugh. He had a tremendous memory, especially for people and dates, and served as the unofficial family historian. He astounded his family with his recall for names, adventures, and events – even those he only knew second hand.

A lifelong lover of history, Chris was fond of old movies and vintage television series with an almost encyclopedic knowledge of plots and actors. He also enjoyed viewing old pictures of the Boston area, appreciating the details of long-closed stores, attire, and ways of life.

To know Chris was to know his devotion to his caring for his mother, Peg. He was her tireless chauffeur, a chef balancing dietary restrictions with favorite cheats, and an endless source of humor in her life.

Chris is survived by his mother, Margaret (Peg) Trumbour of Maynard, MA, his sister Ellen Oliver and her husband Larry of Stow, Massachusetts, and nephews Thomas Oliver of New York, New York, and Matthew Oliver of Stow, Massachusetts. He is predeceased by his father, Joseph (Ted) Trumbour.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Saturday, February 13th from 2:00-4:00PM at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed. Interment is private at a later date.
