Obituary for Audrey H. (Finan) Robinson Helin
Audrey H. (Finan) Robinson Helin, 85, of Maynard, MA (formally of Boxborough), died peacefully in her sleep Monday, January 3, 2022.
Audrey was born on February 4, 1936 in Concord, MA to the late Philip Hyde Finan and Mildred (Croft) Finan. She was married to her late husband Walter Helin for 26 years until his death in April 2014. She previously resided in Boxborough with Alan W. Robinson Sr where they raised eight children. She attended Maynard High School and was a waitress at Alphonse’s Powder Mill for 30 years. She loved her work there and being able to interact with the community. She was a very kind and generous person, always willing to lend a sympathetic ear and regularly gave to numerous charities. She was fearless and lived by her own rules. She leaves many stories and memories to be enjoyed by her family. Christmas was her favorite holiday where she would be surrounded by her entire family and it will never be the same without her.
Her greatest joy in life were her grandchildren Melissa Gravlin, Michelle Schweighardt, George Castillo, Amy Pascuito, Jeffrey Gravlin, Randy Robinson, Steven Robinson, Brian Gravlin, Robert Robinson, Bryan Robinson, Adam Robinson, Nicole Hartnett, Katie Gravlin, Rene Carbone, Patrick Robinson, Stephanie Robinson, Heather Robinson, and Alan Robinson, their spouses and twenty-four great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. Her world revolved around each and every one of them. She loved her family fiercely and unconditionally.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Gravlin of Sterling, MA, her sons Robert Robinson, Ricky Robinson and his wife Karen, and Randy Robinson and his wife Kelly of Westminster, MA, Keith Robinson of Sterling, MA, and Wayne Robinson of Acton, MA. She is also survived by her stepdaughter Carol White, her husband Bill and their children David White and Dennis White of Littleton, MA, sister-in-laws Carol Finan of Sudbury, MA and Kathy Galvin of Maynard, MA, brother-in-law Robert Boyd of Maynard, MA, numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends and neighbors at Concord Circle Maynard.
She was predeceased by her husband Walter Helin, her first husband Alan Robinson Sr, brothers Philip Finan, John Finan, and Roger Finan, sister Gloria Boyd, grandson Travis Robinson, son in law Jeffrey Gravlin Sr, and stepson Alan Robinson Jr.
Visiting hours will be Thursday, January 6th from 3:00-7:00PM at the Acton Funeral Home. Funeral services with be Friday January 7th at 9:30AM at the Acton Funeral Home, burial to follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Great Road (Rte 117) Maynard.
