Obituary for Allan Earl Mason

Allan Earl Mason peacefully passed away at his home in Acton, Wednesday, May 27th at the age of 83.

He was born in Newton, MA to Edward and Mildred Mason. He graduated from Newton High School and eventually was drafted into the US Army and also enlisted in the US Coast Guard. After completing his military service, he returned to his job at MIT Lincoln Labs as a machinist. He worked at Lincoln Labs for 37 years and retired at the age of 59. Allan's hobbies included sailing, camping and antique clock repair.

Allan is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen (Fallon) Mason to whom he was married 55 years ago. He has three children - a daughter, Margaret V. Silva, and her husband Robert live in Attleboro, MA; a son, Allan E. Mason, and his wife Laura (Millet) live in Shirley, MA; and a second son, Glenn F. Mason, and his wife Virgie live in Ayer, MA. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Robert, Patrick, Michael, Carolyn, and Ben.

A private funeral is being held on Saturday May 30th. Allan will be laid to rest at Mt. Hope Cemetery on Central Street in West Acton.
